A small aluminum subchassis will replace the wood block to hold the
866A rectifiers and some low level control circuits. A relay will control
application of the 240 VAC to the Variac to adjust the high voltage.
My surplus relays had 24 VAC coils so more parts must be added to provide
3 sets of contacts and the control voltage. The 24 VAC may come in handy
later when I look at the amp T/R relay and potentially replace it with
a vacuum relay (also 24 V I think).
